These Quality Management Guidelines guide the adoption of standard quality management plans, processes, and procedures for the construction manager (CM) during the execution of construction projects/programs. These guidelines supplement the quality management chapter in the CMAA Construction Management Standards of Practice by providing details of a project’s or program’s typical quality management responsibilities from concept to occupancy.
This revision to the previous 2017 version includes more details about how the CM can build a strong “quality culture†among teams and the CM’s critical role in helping the owner translate goals and objectives into realistic quality requirements as early as possible. This edition also provides more methods the CM can use to assure quality throughout all phases to meet or exceed the owner’s requirements.
